I am passionate about helping my patients achieve and maintain optimum oral health. My practice philosophy places strong emphasis on preventive care; this helps patients maintain their oral health without the need for extensive rehabilitation.

Despite my focus on prevention, I thoroughly enjoy the combination of cosmetics, form, and function that go into reconstructive procedures because of the positive transformation that results. When restorative procedures are necessary, I strive to help patients with their dental issues in a gentle, efficient manner that focuses on their comfort. The smiles that come with a healthy mouth are incredibly rewarding!

I have a deep love for dentistry because of all that it offers. I feel fortunate to be able to help people every day. Building relationships with so many unique people every day is something I thrive on: It is the most enjoyable part of my profession.

Education and Continuing Education

I was introduced to dentistry through my father, an oral and maxillofacial surgeon and chair of the section of dentistry and oral maxillofacial surgery at the University of Vermont Medical Center. Dentistry has provided a perfect platform for me to contribute to my patients’ health while allowing me to draw on my scientific education, as well as artistic background with aesthetic cases.

I received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Denver in 1999, attended the University of Virginia for post baccalaureate studies in chemistry and biology, and graduated from the Virginia Commonwealth University with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2012. I continued my formal education in an advanced education in general dentistry residency program that I completed in 2013. This entailed extensive experience with complicated cases that involved crowns and bridges, implant treatment, and removable prosthodontics.

I strongly believe in the importance of continuing education and attend numerous courses each year. These classes keep me up to date with current treatment techniques and enable me to provide the highest level of care for my patients. One of the many things I love about dentistry is that it is constantly evolving as our knowledge of oral diagnosis, function, and treatment improves. Staying abreast of these advances involves a lifetime of education and continuous professional growth.

Outside the Office

My husband, Dr. Kristopher Keeton, is also a general dentist in Burlington. Our son Jack is the center of our universe. We are also fortunate to have my parents living just down the road from us in South Burlington.

Our family enjoys getting outside as much as possible. Whenever we have free time we can be found skiing, snowboarding, swimming, or boating on Lake Champlain.
