The most exciting thing about dentistry is having the opportunity to help patients transform their smile and seeing their self-confidence bloom as a result. Cosmetic changes, both big and small, can have a profound, immediate impact and can be life changing. It is incredibly gratifying when a patient can’t stop smiling at the end of an appointment!

I also really enjoy helping patients change their attitudes toward dentistry. For many, the idea of a trip to the dentist comes with a lot of anxiety. I strive to create a calm, caring, and judgment-free atmosphere to help patients overcome any barriers they have to treatment.

Smiles are contagious; they have the power to elevate your mood and affect the happiness of those around you. I am truly passionate about dentistry and am fortunate to get to know so many amazing people and impact their lives though a profession that I love!

Education and Continuing Education

I graduated cum laude from the College of the Holy Cross in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and premedical studies, and magna cum laude from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 2012 with a Doctorate of Dental Medicine. I was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon national dental honor society and completed the general practice residency at Fletcher Allen Hospital through the University of Vermont in 2013.

One of the things I love about dentistry is the learning never ends. Dental technology and science are constantly progressing. I look forward to attending Yankee Dental Congress each year to stay on the forefront of the latest aesthetic materials, restorative techniques, dental equipment, and technology.

At the Dawson Dental Academy, I participate in workshops that explore the intricate relationship between the teeth, muscles, and jaw joint, which enables me to create long-lasting restorations in harmony with stable, healthy temporomandibular joints (TMJs).

By staying current on the latest research and challenging myself to continuously learn, I am able to constantly perfect my skills and deliver the best possible care to my patients.

In the Community

Since 2013, Timberlane Dental Group has been hosting Free Dental Day, which brings together dental professionals throughout Vermont to provide dental care free of charge to adults in need. It’s a lot of fun to gather with other dentists and clinicians in the area to help our local community.

I also enjoy mentoring students interested in pursuing health careers and serving as a guest lecturer for the UVM Medical Center Dental Residency program. In the past, I have participated in dental service trips to both Honduras and the Dominican Republic. It’s incredibly rewarding and humbling to provide care to underserved areas.

Outside the Office

I currently reside in Burlington and feel lucky to live in such a beautiful state! I have a lot of energy and really enjoy being active. Vermont has been a wonderful playground for me. I play soccer year-round and love skiing, hiking, biking, and spending time on Lake Champlain. I also have immediate family in Connecticut, Florida, Wisconsin, and California, so I have a lot of fun places to visit!
