My goal as a periodontist is to restore and maintain the health of the bone and soft tissue of my patients. I was first drawn to periodontics while I was working as an orthodontist’s assistant before dental school. I loved helping my patients improve their oral health through chairside education and encouragement. My interest was piqued by the disease process of gum disease, and I became committed to learning as much as possible in order to help others return to full function.
I enjoy working as a part of a team, and I am thankful for the opportunity to work with such a talented team of staff, assistants, hygienists, dentists and other specialists. It is a privilege to work alongside others who are dedicated to improving the function, esthetics, and wellbeing of others. My long-term professional goal has been to be a part of a group practice who can work seamlessly as a team to provide excellent quality dental care, and I am happy to say I found it in Timberlane Dental Group.
I graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry in 2017. I completed my Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in periodontology and Master of Science in Dentistry in clinical periodontology at Boston University Henry Goldman School of Dental Medicine. I am currently studying to become a Diplomat of the American Board of Periodontology.

Continuing education is an important aspect of staying up to date in dentistry for the best patient care. While in residency I attended and presented at the local and state Jay Siebert TriSchool for my university, exchanging research and clinical information between universities to advance our understanding of the trends in patient care and periodontal research. I have completed hands-on exercises with major implant companies and regularly attend Yankee Dental Congress. New trends in dentistry allow us as practitioners to expand our skill sets while critically evaluating tried and true methods. I am committed to advanced continuing education which allows me to learn new methods and polish predictable standard methods of care.
Outside the Office
I am from a small town in rural Alabama originally. My immediate family lives in south Alabama and north Florida. I am new to Burlington and moved with my two cats. When I am not practicing dentistry, I enjoy spending time outdoors. I look forward to exploring the natural beauty of Vermont while hiking and running. I also enjoy reading and playing video games.
