Dr. Berkowitz is originally from Utica, NY where his father was a dentist. He received a B.A. in Sociology from Hobart College in Geneva, NY in 1989, graduated from S.U.N.Y. Buffalo School of Dental Medicine in 1994, and completed a general practice residency at Millard Fillmore Hospital in 1995. He is the President of the Vermont State Dental Society, a Delegate to the American Dental Association, a member of the Academy of General Dentistry and the Champlain Valley Dental Society, and a Fellow of both the International College of Dentists and the American College of Dentists.
Dr. Berkowitz appreciates the diversity of solutions that general dentistry and group practice at Timberlane provides for his patients. With dentistry, helping people achieve optimum health translates into beautiful smiles. This process is exciting every day.
Dr. Berkowitz came to Vermont for the fresh air, big mountains and lake, and for the four seasons of healthy living where he enjoys skiing, running, hiking and cycling. He believes that Vermont lends itself to healthy lifestyles and that it is a pleasure to be living and practicing here. He lives in Charlotte with his wife, Kristin, daughter Emma, and his two sons, Jerry and William.
